Successfully achieving your goals will depend on how well you manage your setbacks. All things in life have hills and valleys. It is important to acknowledge this but even more important is to embrace this. It is natural to have an up side and a down side, a good time and a bad time. It is all around you in nature and it is all a part of the process of life; it is a law of the universe. So why fight it, why let it get you down, why let it affect your desire for success?
When you are in the valleys of your life, look for what you are learning there, what is the lesson? In every set back, there is a lesson and even a bright side, you just have to look deep into the situation to find it. When you do find it you have enriched your life just a little more for having discovered it. And now you have cleared the path to realizing true professional success.
When you are in the valleys, or set backs, you can also go through it with the knowing that it is just that, a set back. It is not the end of life as you know it but rather a space to allow for a better time ahead. Set backs are a blessing. They give us the opportunity to dig into our creativity. It is an opportunity to find something else within ourselves. Something that perhaps we never knew was there. So much has been discovered as a result of something bad happening. When you look for ways to move out of a valley and up onto the hill, you are bringing an energy that is assisting you to achieve that goal.
This energy is found in resilience. Resilience is found in people who have a purpose in life. They see a bigger picture and therefore have the resilience to accept the turn for the worst. Some people will find their purpose as part of a divine plan while other people have goals and dreams that keep them moving forward. The important factor is to have a vision and a sense of purpose that can transcend the negative condition.
A set back can be an opportunity to change direction. Be open to what paths are now available to you. As the saying goes “when one door shuts, another door opens”. Sometimes it is not easy to see it when you are in the midst of chaos. However with a little clarity of mind, you will be able to find the opportunity in the set backs, finding a path to success.
One way to start this process is to consciously look for the path of least resistance. That can be as simple as staying away from the thoughts that are making you feel worse. Try to move your thoughts to things that make you feel better. Your feelings are an indication of what you are thinking. So if you are feeling bad, that is an indication that your thoughts are bad. When you change your feelings, you can find the opportunities to get back up on the hill.
It will also be important for you to understand that change is inevitable. It is a part of life and is everywhere in nature. Learn to not only accept change but embrace it. Knowing that change is natural and liking it, will assist you in building your resilience muscle and managing success needs a strong resilience muscle.
As you start to develop your problem solving skills, you will also be developing other strengths along the way as well, your self esteem will increase, and you will start to attract wonderful people in your life. You will attract more happiness, and more abundance. The more you look for the good in the bad situation the more good you will find in general and true success in life will find its way to you.
