Once you decide that working from home, in a home based business and in network marketing is something that you would like to pursue, now comes the hard part...deciding which company to join. There are companies with product lines and some that provide a service. Deciding on which company to join is the hardest part.
Since there are hundreds of companies that you can join, you might want to start by doing searches on the internet to narrow down your choices. If you already have a particular line of products or service that interests you, then start your search there. You can even start a search using keywords such as; patents, publicly traded, debt-free company...etc., if those are important points that you are looking for in the company that you decide to join. Even though a company might have a patent on their product or they might be publicly traded, doesn't mean they have to be a squeaky clean company, they can have lawsuits and a bad reputation, just like any other company.
Also, if you have any family or friends that are working from home or building a business, even part-time, then consult with them and learn more about the company they are with and what the product line or services are that they are promoting. Joining the same company that your friend is with might be a great way to partner locally and build your businesses together, such as; doing booths at health fairs, targeting a particular type of business in the area to network with, starting weekly/monthly seminars or meetings locally to attract others into your business...etc.
Find the companies whose product line or services interest you the most. If you don't feel that you can get excited about introducing skin care products to others when you might have a horrible complexion, then scratch that company off your list. You must be comfortable in what you are going to introduce to others. Settle for a company whose products or services you plan to use regularly as well. As the saying goes, "you must be a product of the product".
Now that you have narrowed down your search to a handful of companies, contact an associate of the companies that you are interested in and ask questions. Make sure that your questions are answered to your likings and with a direct response. Even ask the associate how long they have been with the company. Why did they choose this company over all the others that are available?? Is there a system that they use to market the products or service??
You will also want to ask for additional information about the company and the products or the service. How long has the company been in business for?? Are they are debt-free company?? Where is the company located?? Are their products patented?? Ask to see the compensation plan or other videos with additional information for your considering.
After you have looked at the additional information over for several companies, then you will want to contact the associate once again to ask additional questions that you may now have. Make sure you understand the compensation plan and that it is simple enough to explain to others if this is the company that you decide to join.
Finally, make your decision with which company you chose to join. Get signed up and try out the products or service for yourself. Once you fully decide that this is a product or service that you feel comfortable in telling others about, and then get back with your sponsor, the one who signed you up, and learn about how to start marketing this company and their products to others.
